Amsterdam 2020's iGB Live and iGB Affiliate are canceled by Clarion
As a direct response to the COVID-19 epidemic, Clarion has made the executive decision to push back iGB Live and iGB Affiliate Amsterdam to the year 2021. The RAI in Amsterdam, where the industry events were supposed to take place in September 2020, has announced that the new dates for the events will be 13-16 July 2021.
Clarion announced its decision to postpone the event in a statement that was published on the website for the event. The statement cited "the constantly shifting scenario and safety concerns around new coronavirus" as the reason for the decision.
The organizer of the event stated that despite the circumstances, there was still a significant amount of support for the show; nonetheless, the choice to delay will ensure that the 2021 offering is of a high caliber.
Naomi Barton, the director of group events, remarked that despite how disheartening the information is, they believe that this is the most appropriate decision to take.
"It was extremely important to us to put on this event for all of our partners and stakeholders.
Nevertheless, due to circumstances that are outside of our control, we have come to the conclusion that it is in everyone's best interest to postpone the event since we simply cannot ensure the safety of attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors during the original date.
Because of the pandemic, it was decided earlier this month that the ICE London 2021 convention will also be moved to the month of April.
Reed Exhibitions has also decided to not hold this year's G2E Las Vegas event. The following gathering is scheduled to take place in the Sands Expo & Convention Center on October 4-7, 2021.
