Potential for "rapidly-growing" investments in Africa beckons to Tekkorp Capital.
The African gambling industry is a high-growth business with excellent prospects, and Tekkorp Capital, a global investor in betting and gaming, is actively seeking investment possibilities in this space.
According to Tekkorp Africa, a gaming investment fund called Tekkorp Capital is on the lookout for locally driven businesses with the potential to become regional leaders since it thinks Africa has some of the most interesting growth opportunities in the industry.
More companies will be encouraged to enter the African gaming field if this market is highlighted.
Tekkorp has stated that it intends to assist its investors in Africa with access to cash as well as with operational, technical, and strategic concerns. Solutions for products, collaborations with media, payments, and legal advice are all part of this.
The chairman and creator of Tekkorp, Matt Davey, is anticipating rapid expansion in the sector. "This will foster greater participation from operators in the space, which is why we think now is the perfect moment to anticipate trends, build a diversified portfolio of high-quality African assets supported by our local knowledge, and take full advantage of this lucrative opportunity," he continued.
"Our objective is to transform these potential businesses into market leaders in the area, creating a diverse portfolio of successful brands that adhere to regulations and have solid leadership. By doing so, we want to remove obstacles that prevent major operators from investing with certainty."
Appointed as Africa partner to spearhead investment initiatives in the continent
Seen here is Conor O'Donovan, an associate partner at Tekkorp since March 2023, who has just been named Africa partner to spearhead the firm's growth in the area.
Among his duties will be the pursuit of untapped African prospects and the establishment of a management and advisory group to guide investments and operations.
O'Donovan is an entrepreneur with extensive experience in the African gaming industry and the brains behind Tribe54, an investment firm that targets the continent's gaming, gambling, payments, and fintech industries.
Along with this, he worked for another investment firm, NewPlay Group, for five years. Additionally, he worked for a while at Betyetu Group, an east and west African sports betting and gambling company.
"Bringing out the potential in strong, locally led businesses is a challenge, but Tekkorp and our strategic partners are well-equipped to handle it," O'Donovan stated.
"Our objective is to transform these potential businesses into market leaders in the area, creating a diverse portfolio of successful brands that adhere to regulations and have solid leadership. By doing so, we want to remove obstacles that prevent major operators from investing with certainty."
