XLMedia names Karen Tyrrell is the Chief People and Operations Officer for the company

XLMedia has expanded its senior leadership team with the addition of a new member, a former executive at Flutter who will now serve as Chief People and Operations Officer. Karen Tyrrell has recently joined XLMedia after making the transition from Flutter UK&I, where she most recently worked as the interim Chief People Officer (CPO).

Her nearly 15-year career in gaming, during which she has held various senior leadership positions, will continue once she has been appointed to her most recent job.

After working for Sky Betting & Gaming for eleven years, Tyrrell took on the post of Managing Director Transformation after leaving the company and before becoming the Chief Product Officer for Flutter UK&I.

There, among other responsibilities, she was the Managing Director of People & Culture, the Director of Enterprise Services, and the Transition Director.

Moreover, Tyrrell has an extensive background in the hotel industry, having worked for Hilton Worldwide for a period of time that exceeds seven years.

In contrast, she stated the following in reference to her most recent move: "I am happy to join the team and look forward to working with everyone at XLMedia."

"Over the course of my career, I've had the privileged opportunity to steer firms through periods of enormous expansion and industry transformation, and I'm excited about the prospect of contributing that experience to the company."

This news comes just a few months after XLMedia chose David King, the former financial manager of BBC Worldwide, as its new CEO. King replaced Stuart Simms on July 1st of this year. King expressed excitement about Tyrrell joining XLMedia and referred to her years of experience as a "vital aspect" of the organization's expansion goals.

He made the following statement: "We are happy to welcome Karen to XLMedia, and we believe her experience working with high-performing teams will be an essential element of supporting our next phase of growth."
